Duties of the Infection Prevention & Control Nurse:

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies
• Conduct audits, surveillance activities, and risk assessments
• Provide IPC training and education to clinical and non-clinical staff
• Support outbreak investigations and implement control measures
• Promote best practice and regulatory compliance across services
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient safety

Infection Prevention & Control Nurse must:

• Be a Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration
• Hold a relevant qualification or certification in Infection Prevention & Control
• Have previous experience in infection prevention, quality, or clinical governance (desirable)
• Demonstrate strong communication, audit, and analytical skills
• Have up-to-date knowledge of infection control best practice
