Hotel General Manager

Excel Recruitment are searching for a Hotel General Manager for one of Galways’ best known city centre hotels.

Our client is seeking an experienced Hotel or Deputy Hotel Manager with previous experience in both Rooms and Food & Beverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to provide unrivalled customer experience across all departments
  • Work closely with the management team to ensure that staffing levels are maintained in order to ensure uninterrupted levels of guest service
  • Monitor sales and revenue to assess goal accomplishments and adjust forecast and strategies accordingly
  • Ensure all policies, procedures and health and safety requirements are adhered to
  • Direct and motivate the team, creating a positive work culture focused on building high performing teams

Requirements:

  • Previous experience at Operations/Deputy/General Manager level in a busy F&B property
  • Strong understanding of finance, budgets & P&L
  • Ability to analyse each departments performance and work closely with HOD to implement contingency plans when necessary
  • Strong people management skills to both recruit and retain a motivated, customer focused team to meet and exceed customer expectations
