Healthcare Assistant

Excel Healthcare is actively recruiting a Healthcare Assistant on behalf of our client, a well-known residential care provider, based in Kildare. The home is conveniently located just off the M4 and minutes from Maynooth town.

Our client has been an established provider of long-term care to older adults for over 10 years. This promises a well-organized and supportive working environment for staff. The role of the Healthcare Assistant is key to ensuring a high standard of care is provided to residents. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in care of the older person.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with their personal care needs
• Supporting nursing staff in the delivery of individualized care plans
• Reporting concerns regarding resident’s well-being to the nurse on duty
• Following infection control protocols at all times

Job Requirements:

• QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare
• Some experience in a nursing home or hospital environment is beneficial
• Excellent communication skills
• Compassionate and empathetic to the needs of others
