Healthcare Assistant

Excel Healthcare is currently hiring a Healthcare Assistant on behalf of our client, an established residential care provider, based in Glasnevin. This is a great opportunity to join an efficient organization, who have fostered a relationship-centered approach to care.

Our client provides both long-term residential and short-term transitional care, on their beautifully landscaped campus. There has been further expansion and positive cultural change recently, adding an additional requirement for a compassionate and motivated Healthcare Assistant. The successful candidate will ideally have some experience caring for older adults and enjoy developing trusting, professional relationships with residents.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance with all activities of daily living
• Encourage resident’s independence
• Promote resident’s individuality
• Work collaboratively within the team

Requirements:

• Minimum of Care Skills and Care of the Older Person QQI level 5 modules
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous
• Kind and compassionate in nature
• Good knowledge of HIQA requirements
