Head of Retail – Dublin (Nationwide)

Excel Recruitment is proud to recruit a Head of Retail for our client, a leading Irish retail group. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to join a fast-growing, customer-focused business and play a key role in driving retail strategy, performance, and innovation across a nationwide network of stores.

Salary: €100K – €120K

Responsibilities:

• Lead, inspire, and develop a team of Regional and Store Managers to deliver exceptional operational standards and customer service
• Drive commercial performance across the retail network through effective business planning, sales analysis, and performance management
• Develop and implement retail strategies to increase profitability, market share, and customer engagement
• Oversee compliance with brand standards, health & safety, and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, new concepts, and process improvements
• Champion company culture and values across all retail locations

Requirements:

• A proven track record in a senior retail management role – ideally within forecourt, grocery, or convenience retail
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people development skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
• Full driving licence and flexibility to travel nationwide as required
