As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced, commercially driven leader to head our Commercial Recruitment Division, based in our Naas or Dublin office.
The Role
The Head of Commercial Recruitment Division will lead the strategic direction, performance, and expansion of our Commercial recruitment function nationwide. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving revenue growth, developing high-performing teams, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence. You will play a central role in shaping the division’s strategy, identifying new opportunities, and positioning Excel Recruitment as a market leader across commercial sectors including administration, finance, HR, sales, marketing, customer service, and business support.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop & implement a clear, ambitious growth strategy for the Commercial Division.
- Identify new markets, sectors, and expansion opportunities.
- Set, monitor, and deliver against financial targets, budgets, and KPIs.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability across all commercial desks.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Recruitment Managers and Consultants.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable culture.
- Support succession planning and internal talent development.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of new consultants.
Business Development
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients nationwide.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Lead major tenders, pitches, and strategic account negotiations.
- Position Excel Recruitment as a trusted partner within the commercial recruitment market.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure best-in-class recruitment processes, compliance standards, and service delivery.
- Oversee performance reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and client experience.
- Maintain a strong candidate experience and protect brand reputation.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a commercially astute recruitment leader with a proven track record of building, scaling, and leading successful teams.
Essential Requirements:
- 7+ years’ recruitment experience, including significant exposure to Business Support and Office Support recruitment.
- 3+ years’ experience in a senior leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and division performance.
- Strong business development skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing recruitment teams.
- Strategic mindset combined with strong operational and commercial capability.
