Excel Recruitment are on the lookout for a passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen at our clients bustling pub, serving top-notch bar food and traditional carvery. If you’re a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves creating comforting, crowd-pleasing dishes, this could be your perfect next move.

The Role:

  • Position: Head Chef
  • Salary: €45,000-€50,000 (depending on experience)
  • Hours: 5 days over 7, working between the hours of 12pm-7pm (Overtime after 40 hours)
  • Team: Managing a team of 6 kitchen staff

Head Chef Duties:

  • Leading the kitchen with confidence, creativity, and consistency
  • Delivering high-quality pub classics and traditional carvery fare
  • Managing rotas, stock levels, and food safety compliance
  • Mentoring and motivating a team of 6 other chefs
  • Working closely with management to shape menus and specials.

The ideal Head Chef should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar Head Chef or Senior Chef role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Passion for hearty, well-executed pub food
  • Excellent understanding of kitchen management and food hygiene standards
  • Someone who thrives on teamwork and takes pride in their craft
