Group Head Chef – Daytime Hours
Location: Carlow or Wicklow (Candidate dependent)

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Group Head Chef on behalf of our client, a leading business within the hospitality sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior culinary professional to oversee and develop food operations across multiple sites.

This role offers daytime hours only, providing excellent work-life balance while still giving you the chance to lead, innovate, and drive high-quality food standards across the group.

What’s on Offer:

• Salary: €50,000 – €60,000, depending on experience
• Daytime working hours, rare at this senior culinary level
• The opportunity to shape and lead the food direction of a respected group

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage kitchen operations across multiple sites in Carlow or Wicklow
• Lead, motivate, and develop kitchen teams, ensuring consistent high standards
• Design and deliver creative, seasonal menus aligned with brand standards
• Maintain full responsibility for food quality, HACCP compliance, and cost control
• Work closely with senior management on menu development, supplier relationships, and operational efficiencies

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume, quality-driven environment
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple kitchens and teams
• Strong knowledge of menu planning, food costing, and GP management
• Passionate about food innovation, sustainability, and delivering exceptional standards
