My client is a highly successful manufacturer of equine products, and they are looking for a detail oriented, innovative Garment Technologist to join their team in North Dublin. The successful candidate will be involved the end-to-end tactical execution of the product. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global leader who continue to grow after years of success.

Responsibilities of this Garment Technologist job:

  • Support the Senior Equine Technician in the tactical execution of product through full end to end development process for equine products and accessories ensuring all products meet quality and manufacturing standards while meeting the timely completion of all tasks in accordance with the existing development calendars.
  • Analysis of all pre-production samples by supplier to ensure consistency and accuracy across, fit, appearance and construction for bulk production, including any subsequent queries leading to final approval by agreed dates.
  • Responsible for identifying, communicating, and rectifying any issues or faults in manufacturing, pattern, packaging, and the life of the product.
  • Work closely with customer service and supply chain team to review reasons for stock returns and alerting product team of any trends or potentially serious quality issues.
  • Responsible for keeping and maintaining all pre-production and gold seal samples within the seasonal timeframe.
  • Must be comfortable to perform fittings and product evaluations on a horse.

Experience required for this Garment Technologist job:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience working within a garment technical position in fashion, textiles, soft goods, hard goods, sporting goods, accessories, apparel, or footwear.
  • Diploma or degree in textile or fashion design or management.
  • Experience working with textile samples, taking measurements, reading patterns, and using pattern systems such as Optitex.
  • Understanding of product certification.
  • Experience working in PLM and PLM systems.
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Highly creative and detail organised with the ability to work to tight timelines.
