Fresh Food Manager – Macroom Cork

Lead Fresh Food in a Busy, Customer-Focused Supermarket

We are recruiting a Fresh Food Manager for a well-established supermarket in Macroom.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail professional who understands fresh departments inside-out and enjoys driving standards, sales, and team performance.

Salary: €40k

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of all fresh food departments including deli, bakery, meat, and produce
• Drive sales, margin and waste control across fresh categories
• Lead, train and develop fresh food teams
• Ensure high standards of food safety, HACCP and hygiene compliance
• Manage ordering, stock rotation and supplier relationships
• Deliver strong merchandising standards and seasonal promotions
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvements where required
• Work closely with senior store management to support overall store performance

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fresh Food Manager, Deli Manager or Senior Fresh Food Supervisor in a supermarket
• Strong knowledge of fresh food operations and food safety standards
• Proven ability to drive sales while controlling waste and shrink
• Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced retail setting
• Commercial awareness with a hands-on leadership style
• A genuine passion for fresh food and customer experience
