Driver Helper

Excel Recruitment is seeking a reliable and physically capable Driver Helper to support our delivery operations across Cork and surrounding areas. This role is key to ensuring timely, safe, and professional distribution of alcoholic beverages to licensed premises and retail outlets.

This is a temporary contract, for sporadic shift requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the driver with loading and unloading hourehold goods

  • Safely handle and deliver products

  • Verify delivery notes and support accurate stock counts at customer locations.

  • Maintain cleanliness and order of the delivery vehicle.

  • Provide friendly, professional customer service during deliveries.

  • Assist with route navigation and efficient delivery scheduling.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform manual handling of heavy loads

  • Good level of physical fitness.

  • Reliable, hardworking, and punctual.

  • Basic literacy and numeracy for checking paperwork.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Manual Handling Certificate (advantageous – training provided if required).

  • Previous experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations is an advantage.
