Department Manager – Homeware

Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Department Manager to join a well-established and highly respected retailer in Galway. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Retail Manager/Supervisor to take ownership of a busy homeware department within a successful and customer-focused business.

You will be responsible for driving sales, leading your team, maintaining excellent standards throughout the department, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of retail colleagues
• Drive sales performance and deliver departmental targets
• Deliver outstanding customer service standards
• Maintain excellent visual merchandising and stock presentation
• Support recruitment, training, and performance management
• Monitor departmental performance and identify opportunities for growth
• Ensure high standards across all operational and compliance areas

About You:

• Previous retail management experience preferably in homeware or similar product
• Strong people leadership and coaching skills
• Commercially focused with a track record of achieving results
• Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences

What’s on Offer?

• Competitive salary of €33,000 – €36,000 depending on experience
• Paid overtime for Sundays and Public Holidays
• Nice working hours – no late nights
