Excel Recruitment are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead food operations in a high-end food and beverage venue in North Dublin. This hands-on role suits a chef with strong leadership skills, excellent food knowledge, and experience managing compliant, high-volume kitchens.

The position is 5 days over 7, with mainly daytime hours and no late nights, offering an excellent work-life balance.

Responsibilities of the Chef Manager

• Lead and manage day-to-day kitchen and food service operations across multiple outlets
• Plan, cost, and deliver high-quality menus aligned with brand and customer expectations
• Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
• Drive menu development, innovation, and seasonal changes
• Manage food and labour costs in line with agreed budgets and KPIs
• Oversee stock control, ordering, inventory management, and waste reduction
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, health and safety, and HACCP standards
• Train, mentor, and develop kitchen teams, supporting performance and engagement
• Maintain audit-ready kitchens with full ownership of food safety documentation
• Work closely with senior operations and front-of-house teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience

Requirements of the Chef Manager

• Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume food operation
• Strong operational and people management skills
• Proven experience managing food margins and cost control
• Excellent knowledge of food safety systems, allergen compliance, and HACCP
• Confident communicator with a collaborative leadership style
• Passion for food quality and delivering a consistently high customer experience
• Flexibility to work weekends as required
