Catering Assistant – Cork

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Catering Assistant to provide support across catering sites in the Cork region on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for an individual with prior food service experience who can adapt quickly to new environments, work independently when necessary, and consistently deliver high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately
• Deliver friendly and efficient customer service
• Prepare, organise, and maintain service counters and dining areas
• Ensure all equipment and work areas are clean, organised, and hygienic
• Comply fully with food safety, HACCP, and health and safety regulations
• Take responsibility for assigned tasks to help ensure smooth daily operations

Catering Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering or food service setting
• Confidence in operating tills and interacting with customers
• Barista or coffee-making skills are advantageous
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
• HACCP and Manual Handling certificates required (training can be arranged if necessary)
• Dependable, punctual, and professionally presented
• Flexibility to undertake temporary and short-term assignments
