Business Development Manager – Foodservice

My client a well-established Foodservice business is recruiting a Business Development Manager to develop their wholesale and end user (cafes, pubs, restaurants, hotels and delicatessens) accounts across Galway, Sligo, Mayo and Westmeath.

I am looking for someone extremely sales driven with a track record of growing turnover, profitability and volume across food-service/FMCG accounts

Salary is €50k may be negotiable but must reflect experience, Pension Contribution, Discounted Health Insurance, 10% Bonus, Daily Lunch Allowance and Company Vehicle

Responsibilities for the job of Business Development Manager – Foodservice

• To achieve volume, profit and share objectives for each designated wholesale and end user account
• To clearly identify opportunities within the wholesale accounts customer base that can be realised through working closely with the end user customer
• The development of customer focused objectives/account plans for the accounts and the successful implementation of all agreed SMART objectives
• Achievement of distribution, display, pricing, brand growth and promotional execution objectives
• To manage the designated account base using the principles of trade execution; sales execution and account development striving to achieve preferred supplier status for company owned and agency brands
• Achievement of display objectives through the effective management of primary and secondary displays and proper use of digital & physical point of sale material
• Formal business review with each of the accounts on a quarterly basis
• To effectively communicate all head office negotiations to the appropriate sales managers/end user team to ensure the total exploitation of opportunities provided through effective business development
• To achieve all credit control targets
• To show innovation in achieving solutions to problems and opportunities
