Assistant Manager

My client is a well-established UK retail chain known for their technology and electrical appliances.

I am recruiting a very strong commercial and KPI driven manager for their busy store in Carrickmines, South Dublin.

Salary is €38k-€42k negotiable but must reflect experience, bonus and pension.

I welcome applications from fashion, non-food and grocery retail – someone from a fast-paced high-volume business with experience managing multiple KPI’s and an excellent people manager and leader.

Key Responsibilities for the job of Retail Assistant Manager

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the store
• Motivate the sales team to ensure that the stores KPI’s are consistently delivered
• Monitor the store and department margin and profit and loss
• Analyse sales reports and KPI’s and use the information to make commercial decisions
• Ensure that the store is commercially merchandised and visually appealing
• Provide customer feedback to the head office buying and merchandising teams
• Ensure staff are upselling and providing alternatives to increase sales
• Minimise stock loss and organise stocktakes
• Champion superior customer service in store
• Coach and develop a team on product knowledge, sales skills and service
• Monitor on an ongoing basis staff attendance, timekeeping and productivity
• Recruitment and training
• Cash handling, wages and banking
• Health & Safety
