Activities Manager

Excel Healthcare is delighted to be partnering with our client to recruit an Activities Manager to join their team. This role would suit an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant with previous experience in care of the older person.

Our client provides residential care to older adults in their purpose-built premises in the Dublin 22 area. They have developed an amazing team of healthcare professionals, and a friendly and supportive working environment is their priority. Residents are cared for in our client’s state-of-the-art facility and enjoy keeping busy with regular activities. The successful candidate will continue to assist residents with their personal care needs but will also focus on developing monthly activity programs. This role would suit a positive and upbeat candidate who has an interest in promoting residents’ intellectual stimulation.

Activities Manager responsibilities:

  • Providing assistance to residents with their basic care needs
  • Ability to develop events and activities that keep residents engaged
  • Encourage resident participation in all activities
  • Respecting and taking on board each resident’s individual interests and hobbies
  • Collaborate efficiently with colleagues

Requirements

  • Organisational and planning skills
  • Creative, confident, and bubbly personality
  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent
  • Previous experience in working with older people
