Accounting Technician | Immediate Start | Temp to Permanent Opportunity
Are you an experienced Accounting Technician looking for a hands-on finance role with the potential to secure a permanent position? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation in West Dublin that is seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to support its busy finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong accounting experience, exceptional Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities across accounts, payroll, reporting, and financial administration. Role is based in Dublin West and onsite.

Salary & Benefits
- €19.00 – €20.00 per hour

Duties
- Generate and issue customer invoices and credit notes
- Manage credit control and collection of outstanding accounts
- Allocate customer payments and reconcile customer accounts
- Prepare customer statements and aged debtor reports
- Process supplier invoices and match purchase orders and delivery dockets
- Complete monthly creditor reconciliations
- Prepare supplier payment runs
- Perform bank reconciliations and post daily banking transactions
- Monitor cashflow and maintain accurate financial records
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation journals
- Assist with month-end processes including accruals and prepayments
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Support stocktake activities as required
- Liaise with internal departments regarding supplier invoice discrepancies
- Support the Financial Controller with reporting, analysis and daily finance activities
- Assist with finance process improvements and ongoing projects
Requirements & Desirable Experience
- Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent finance qualification
- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Experience completing bank reconciliations
- Payroll processing experience
- Knowledge of VAT returns and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive and self-motivated approach to work
- Experience using accounting software or ERP systems is advantageous
