Security Officer – Supermarket – Dublin South
Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Security Officer on behalf of our client’s supermarket in South Dublin. This is a great opportunity for an experienced security professional to join a busy retail environment and play an important role in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth day-to-day operation of the store.

Salary: €17 – €18 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and protect the store premises, assets, and personnel
• Carry out regular floor patrols to deter theft and anti-social behaviour
• Manage access control and monitor CCTV systems
• Liaise with store management and Gardaí when required
• Deal professionally and discreetly with security-related incidents
• Provide a visible security presence to reassure customers and staff
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate security logs
• Assist with crowd control during busy trading periods and events

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a retail security role
• Valid PSA (Private Security Authority) Licence is essential
• Excellent observational and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Strong customer service skills and a proactive approach
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and peak trading periods
