Fresh Food Area Manager – Cork & Munster Region

We are seeking an experienced Fresh Food Area Manager to oversee operations across multiple supermarket and convenience store locations in Cork and parts of Munster.

As Fresh Food Area Manager, you will support and guide fresh food teams across several stores, ensuring high standards in deli, bakery, butchery, and all fresh food departments.

You will work closely with store managers to maintain excellent quality, drive sales, improve margins, and ensure full compliance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee fresh food operations across multiple retail locations in Cork and Munster
• Support and develop deli, bakery, butcher, and fresh food teams
• Ensure strong operational standards and high product quality across all sites
• Monitor sales performance, margins, waste control, and profitability
• Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure consistency and compliance
• Drive fresh food sales through effective merchandising and promotional execution
• Provide guidance on stock rotation, ordering, and food safety best practices
• Ensure HACCP, hygiene, and food safety standards are upheld across all stores
• Train, mentor, and develop department teams to enhance performance and customer service

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fresh Food Area Manager, Regional Manager, or Multi-Site Fresh Food Manager
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of fresh food departments (deli/bakery/butcher/produce)
• Proven ability to drive sales, manage margins, and reduce waste
• Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Ability to travel across Cork and surrounding Munster locations (company car provided)
