Working closely with the Executive Head Chef, you’ll take a hands-on role in daily operations, ensuring top standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency across the hotel.

Requirements of the Sous Chef

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or higher in a quality restaurant or hotel kitchen
• Valid work permit with documentation
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills with great attention to detail
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Genuine passion for food, creativity, and keeping up to date with modern culinary trend

Responsibilities of the Sous Chef

• Support the Head Chef in the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Be actively involved in cooking, prep, and service during busy shifts
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
• Lead by example on the kitchen floor, training and mentoring junior chefs
• Contribute ideas to menus and daily specials
• Oversee food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance
• Manage stock control, ordering, and cost efficiency
