Housekeeper

Excel Recruitment are seeking an experienced Housekeeper for our client, an established residential care home in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to join a compassionate team dedicated to creating a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.

Responsibilities

As Housekeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility. Duties include:

• Carrying out daily routine cleaning of residents’ bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, offices, and corridors
• Completing deep cleaning schedules in line with care home policies
• Dusting, polishing, and sanitising furniture and equipment
• Ensuring correct use and safe storage of cleaning chemicals
• Following proper waste disposal and infection control procedures
• Supporting a warm and welcoming environment, through respectful interaction with residents

Requirements

• Minimum 3 months’ cleaning experience
• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with elderly residents
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards
• Understanding of health & safety procedures
