Store Manager – Cork City

Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Store Manager on behalf of our client’s forecourt convenience store in Cork.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail manager to take full ownership of a high-volume, fast-paced forecourt operation, driving standards, sales, and team performance across food-to-go, shop floor, and forecourt services.

Salary: €45k – €50k

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the forecourt store, ensuring smooth and efficient running
• Lead, train, and motivate a high-performing team to deliver top-notch customer service
• Drive sales growth and profitability through effective merchandising, stock control, and promotional strategies
• Manage inventory and stock replenishment, ensuring optimal product availability
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety throughout the store and forecourt
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, food safety, and company policies
• Monitor and analyse store performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and the local community

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Forecourt Manager in a retail or convenience setting
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and motivating teams
• A commercial mindset with experience in sales, stock management, and cost control
• Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding shopping experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
