Excel Recruitment have a challenging and exciting new position for a Operations Manager in South Dublin. As the Operations Manager, you will encourage and develop the team while managing and organising all aspects of the warehouse and transport operation – encompassing all tasks from when the order is placed with our sales team to when the orders are delivered to our customers. Key Position Accountabilities

• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer service in the Transport and Warehouse Team.
• Oversee daily transport and warehouse management operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective, safe, and efficient delivery of services.
• Direct, optimise, and coordinate the full order cycle.
• Catalogue goods, plan warehouse layout, design routes, and process shipments effectively.
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
• Resolve any arising problems or customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Supervise, coach, and train the team, promoting professional growth and collaboration.
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
• Maintain metrics and analyse data to identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Comply with Health and Safety and environmental standards.
• Continuously seek improvements to operations and promote sustainability initiatives.
• Work proactively with various departments and external partners to realise efficiencies and manage stakeholder expectations.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

• At least 5 years of proven working experience as a Logistics or Operations Manager managing both transport and warehouse functions.
• Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
• Demonstrable ability to lead and manage diverse teams with empathy, inclusivity, and strong leadership skills.
• Proficient in standard logistics and transport management software, with knowledge of ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects effectively.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• Strong commercial and business understanding.
• Licensed to drive.
• Experienced in working in multicultural environments.
• Familiar with Workplace Safety, Environmental factors, and compliance standards.

Desirable:

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in Transport Management or Logistics.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in the workplace.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Monitoring and coordinating daily transport schedules, warehouse workflow, and routes.
• Facilitating regular team meetings to track progress, address challenges, and coach team members.
• Analysing operational data to support decision-making and implement improvements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery from order placement to delivery.
• Addressing customer and stakeholder inquiries with professionalism and focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Promoting sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives within transport and warehouse operations.

Additional Details

• Hours: 45 per week (hours can range between 6 am to 7 pm), Monday to Friday
• Salary range: £50,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
• Bonus: Up to £4,000 per annum in line with hitting KPIs
• Pension: 3%
