Retail Manager – Garden Store

Our client, a well-known retail not-for-profit organisation, is currently seeking a Retail Manager for their Garden Centre and Gift store located in Dublin 4. This job offers fantastic working hours with no late nights or Sundays.

Due to the nature of the business model, the ideal candidate will have an interest in charitable organisations, strong people skills, and excellent visual merchandising skills. You will have strong commercial and operational retail experience, be hands-on, standards-driven and with a proven track record in delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities of this job include:

• Manage, train and work closely with an overall team and to assist with supervising volunteers
• Ensure excellent store standards are delivered
• Ensure both yourself and your team are brand ambassadors for the company, brand, and charity
• Motivate the team to achieve set targets and KPI’s
• Assist in recruitment, training, supervising and managing staff and volunteers
• Ensure that a high standard of service to customers is delivered at all times

Skills and experience required for this job:

• Previous management/supervisory experience in retail
• Interest and knowledge of plants/gardening products is essential
• Confident and motivated with an interest in not-for-profit organisations
• Strong customer focus
• Ability to manage volunteers and attract new members for the team

Salary package:

• €36,500
• 40 hour contract
• Pension scheme
• Excellent working hours – no Sundays and no late nights
