Excel Recruitment is seeking Relief Chefs of all levels to join our temporary team across a wide range of high-volume healthcare, industrial, and hospitality units in Dublin. All roles offer daytime and afternoon, Monday to Friday shifts, with optional weekend work available.
Whether you want 1-2 days or a full 5-7-day week, we have consistent work to suit your schedule. These roles are ideal if you are between jobs, working part-time, or simply looking to boost your income with extra hours – all while earning an excellent hourly rate.

Responsibilities of the Chef
- Prepare all food items to order within specified time limits
* Prepare and portion meats, fish, and poultry
* Prepare desserts and cakes when required
* Minimise waste and uphold cost-control standards
* Label all food items according to food safety and shelf-life standards; follow all HACCP procedures
* Comply with food safety, hygiene, and temperature regulations
* Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitary kitchen environment
* Manage stock and maintain correct levels within your section
Requirements for the Chef
- Previous experience working as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen
* Full-service restaurant experience is an advantage
* Healthcare catering experience is desirable
* Ability to stay calm and perform well under pressure
* Professional conduct with the ability to set a high standard for others
* Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Own transport is required
