Commercial Contract Manager

We’re recruiting a Commercial Contract Manager to join a major public contract operating across the Leinster region. This newly created role offers a rare opportunity to shape the commercial strategy and supply chain performance across a €14m+ contract environment-while helping to modernise and future-proof FM delivery.
Working closely with the Contract Director and divisional leadership, the successful candidate will oversee all commercial and contractual aspects of the O&M and interface agreements, leading procurement, cost control, risk management, and performance-based supplier models.
Responsibilities for Commercial Contract Manager
- Provide commercial leadership across all contractual deliverables under the PPP agreement, ensuring compliance and best-value outcomes.
- Act as the commercial gatekeeper for multiple large-scale PPP contracts, with ownership of all risk registers and change control processes.
- Lead procurement planning and commercial negotiations, focusing on lifecycle delivery, reactive works, and hard FM services.
- Drive supply chain efficiency through robust vendor management, performance monitoring, and contract amendments in conjunction with the procurement team.
- Advise senior stakeholders on commercial risk, non-compliance, and financial strategy.
- Interface with client-side partners and consortium members on all commercial matters, including reporting and audit obligations.
- Support the development of long-term commercial strategies aligned with operational and financial performance targets.
Requirements for Commercial Contract Manager
- Degree-qualified (NFQ Level 8) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional membership with SCSI, RICS, or equivalent.
- Strong commercial experience in a PPP, FM, or construction environment-ideally with exposure to contract schedules and lifecycle planning.
- Demonstrable ability to lead procurement, manage contractual risk, and deliver value through strategic supply chain partnerships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills.
- Proficiency with reporting systems, CAFM platforms, and data-led commercial analysis.
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance frameworks.
