Excel Recruitment is looking for Kitchen Support workers for our Clients in the Limerick city and county area.

This role is to support the smooth operation of the kitchen by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, assisting in basic food preparation, and ensuring all hygiene and safety regulations are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic food preparation (e.g. peeling, chopping, plating, portioning).

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly and thoroughly.

• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, floors, equipment, and work surfaces.

• Restock food and service stations during busy periods.

• Assist chefs and catering staff as needed during meal service.

• Follow HACCP and food safety procedures at all times.

• Dispose of waste safely and ensure recycling procedures are followed.

• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor immediately.

• Support the kitchen team in setup and close-down tasks as required.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen or catering experience desirable but not essential.

• Manual Handling Certificate (required – training can often be provided).

• HACCP/Food Safety Level 1 or 2 certification (advantageous).

• Good understanding of cleaning standards and hygiene practices.

• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Reliability, good timekeeping, and attention to detail.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or split shifts.

Hours & Pay:

• Hours: Variable, typically 20-40 per week depending on site and season

• Shifts: May include mornings, evenings, and weekends

• Pay Rate: €13.00-€17.50 per hour (depending on experience, site, and agency)
