Catering Assistant

13.5 per hourly Hotel & Catering Abbeyfeale

Excel Recruitment is looking for experienced kitchen staff for a busy kitchen in Abbeyfeale, Co.Limerick

To support the catering / kitchen team in the preparation, service, delivery and cleanup of meals and food service, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, presentation, and customer care.

Food Preparation & Service

    • Assist in the preparation of ingredients (washing, peeling, chopping, portioning) and basic cooking tasks.

    • Assemble and plate food items as required.

    • Serve meals and beverages to customers, staff or clients (buffets, cafeterias, function events).

    • Refill food items, maintain buffet stations, assist with setup/tear-down.

    • Ensure correct dietary needs are met (allergies, special diets).

    • Cleaning & Maintenance

    • Wash dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, trays, kitchen utensils, etc.

    • Clean kitchen equipment, service areas, work surfaces, floors, storage areas.

    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation to required food hygiene standards (e.g. HACCP, local health regulations).

  3. Setup / Breakdown & Logistics

    • Assist in set up of dining / service areas (tables, chairs, trolleys, trays).

    • Pack up and clean after service or events, break down stations.

    • Load/unload catering equipment and supplies.
