Excel Recruitment are currently recruiting for a qualified and dedicated HGV Mechanic to join our dynamic teams in Cork, Waterford and Limerick. If you are a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with experience in handling mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of heavy goods vehicles or hold a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft ? Construction Plant Fitting, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting routine maintenance and servicing of HGVs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on heavy goods vehicles
• Performing pre-MOT inspections and vehicle testing
• Maintaining accurate records of work carried out and parts used
• Adhering to health and safety regulations and company procedures

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or similar role
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy goods vehicles
• Relevant vocational qualifications or certifications in vehicle maintenance and repair
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
