Excel Recruitment are seeking applications from professional coach drivers to join a leading transport provider in Galway.

Responsibilities of Coach Driver:

• Safely operate a Class D public service vehicle along scheduled routes

• Adapt to a rotating shift schedule (e.g., early, late, split, night/weekend shifts)

• Deliver excellent customer service: assist passengers and handle queries professionally

• Maintain compliance with health, safety, transport regulations, and required documentation (tachograph, CPC, logbooks)

• Perform pre and post-shift vehicle inspections and report any issues

• Adhere to company policies and represent the organisation positively

Shift Pattern:

• Rotatory shift schedule-likely on a multi-week (e.g., 5-week) rota, covering early starts, late finishes, night shifts, and split shifts

• Shift system in operation Early /Middle / Late:

• Early shift ranges from 04.35 to 09.59

• Middle shift ranges from 10.00 to 13.59

• Late shift ranges from 14:00

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Full, clean Irish Class D driving licence

• Digital Tachograph card

• Valid Driver CPC for public service vehicles

• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Flexibility to work unsocial hours, weekends, nights, and public holidays

Training & On-boarding:

• Comprehensive 3 week training program including:
• Route familiarisation
• Customer care and safety protocols
• Tachograph and CPC training (possibly offered in-house)
