Trainee Manager – Convenience Store – South Dublin

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Trainee Manager for our client’s busy convenience store in South Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious retail professional looking to take the next step in their career. You will receive hands-on training and support while developing the skills needed to progress into a Store Management role within a fast-paced retail environment.

Salary: €38k – €42k

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store and ensure smooth operations across all departments
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high store standards
  • Supervise, motivate, and support team members to achieve operational and sales targets
  • Assist with stock control, merchandising, ordering, and inventory management
  • Ensure the store is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and product availability
  • Monitor sales performance and contribute ideas to drive store growth and profitability
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety, and food safety regulations
  • Assist with staff training, coaching, and development to build a high-performing team
  • Step into management duties when required and support the wider management team

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a retail supervisory, Team Leader, or Assistant Manager role within a supermarket, convenience store, or forecourt environment
  • Strong leadership potential with a willingness to learn and progress into a management position
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Good commercial awareness and an understanding of retail operations
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • A positive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, as required

We are currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused Retail Operative to join a busy retail environment in Dingle, Co.Kerry on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and delivering excellent customer service.

Customer Service Administrator

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking a Customer Service Administrator to join a busy and welcoming team with a well-established home décor manufacturer based just outside Rathcoole, Co. Dublin

This opportunity would suit someone with a retail or customer-facing background who is looking to move into a more office-based administrative role and develop their career further.

Please note that access to your own transport is essential, as the location is not easily accessible by public transport.

Key Duties:

  • Managing incoming customer calls and emails
  • Efficiently manage orders, quotations, and invoicing processes.
