In this role, you will divide your time between two of the company’s supermarket locations, ensuring each fresh food department operates at exceptional standards. You’ll support and guide teams across deli, bakery, butchery, and all fresh food counters while driving sales, managing margins, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Salary: €50k – €55k
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain fresh food operations across two supermarket sites
- Lead and support teams across deli, bakery, butchery, and fresh food counters
- Manage waste control, stock levels, and margins to optimise profitability
- Ensure all fresh food departments meet company, food safety, and quality standards
- Conduct regular audits to ensure consistency and compliance across both stores
- Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and product presentation
- Assist department managers with stock rotation, ordering, and waste reduction initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety regulations, and hygiene standards
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance product knowledge and service levels
- Work closely with store management to identify opportunities for fresh food growth
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Fresh Food Manager or Multi-Site Fresh Food Manager in supermarket retail
- Strong operational knowledge of deli, bakery, butchery, and fresh food departments
- Proven ability to manage margins, control waste, and optimise fresh food profitability
- Experience conducting audits and maintaining food safety compliance
- Strong understanding of merchandising and fresh food display standards
- Excellent leadership and people development skills
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities
- Genuine passion for fresh food retail and consistently high standards
