You will complete deliveries safely and on time, carry out vehicle checks, keep paperwork up to date, and follow transport regulations
Key Responsibilities
- Operate rigid or articulated vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Complete scheduled deliveries and collections in a timely manner while maintaining high service standards.
- Carry out daily walk around checks, report defects promptly, and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy before departure.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload goods in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
- Complete delivery dockets, timesheets, tachograph records, and any digital or manual paperwork accurately.
- Comply with all Road Safety Authority requirements, EU driver hours rules, working time regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle and associated equipment.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse teams, site staff, and customers at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Category C licence for Rigid Driver roles and valid Category C+E / EC licence for Artic Driver roles.
- Current Driver CPC qualification card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous experience driving rigid or articulated trucks in a professional setting.
- Good knowledge of Irish road networks, transport legislation, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of vehicle checks, load security, and safe driving practices.
- Good communication skills, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.
- A clean driving record and a flexible, reliable approach to work.
