Supporting the Head of Sourcing, you will develop and implement direct sourcing of own brands or product categories for our clients, a 100% Irish owned retail business. Responsibilities of this job include:

  • Identify and deliver lowest cost solutions for own brand products across retail and wholesale.
  • Assess current landscape of suppliers, logistics, market, and commodities.
  • Analyse and evaluate market intelligence and supplier / competitor trends to optimise sourcing.
  • Build the annual savings budget for your respective categories and provide business updates monthly, quarterly, and annually versus budget.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and with existing and new suppliers.
  • Evaluate and present end to end supply chain analysis.
  • Develop robust implementation plan with clear roles, responsibilities, and timelines.
  • Manage projects across numerous categories.

Requirements for this job include:

  • Minimum of 3 years Sourcing/Procurement experience.
  • Business-focused 3rd Level Qualification.
  • Experience in planning, strategic sourcing, negotiating, contracting and supplier management.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of requirements for importing into Ireland.
  • Understanding of market trends and sound business judgement.
  • Attention to detail, ability to prioritise, comfortable with figures and in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data.
  • Experience with the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry desirable.
  • Prepared to travel to company facilities as and when required.

Responsibilities of this Transport Programme Manager role include:

  • Develop and project manage the roll-out of a new asset/transport management software and systems.
  • Working with transport teams to develop processes and procedures during the implementation of new systems to increase overall operational efficiency.
  • Review new emerging technologies and equipment that would increase productivity, reduce costs, and reduce carbon footprint.
  • Management of the procurement process for equipment assets, liaising and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue generated from equipment assets.
  • Develop new processes, systems and KPI’s to manage the flow and control of €20m of assets within the company’s Supply Chain network.
  • Support the internal supply chain team deliver excellent customer service.

Requirements of this Transport Programme Manager role include:

  • Experience working in a leadership capacity within the FMCG industry/an industry with a large Supply Chain network.
  • Proven track record of creating, managing, and delivering a budget.
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and internal teams at a variety of levels.
  • Ability to develop solutions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record in employee motivation and performance management.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and translating change into operational action plans.
  • KPI driven.
  • Proficiency in a supply chain management system is desirable.
