As Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of the store. This position requires a proactive and hands-on approach to leadership, as you will work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, manage the team, and ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and managing a team of retail associates
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve and exceed sales targets

I am looking to speak with Duty or Assistant Managers who have 3+ years experience managing large teams in fast pace retail such as grocery non food or fashion with €5+m turnovers.

Our client, a successful big box retail chain is seeking a hands-on and people passionate Duty Manager to join their busy store in Drogheda Co Louth.

Responsibilities of this Duty Manager job:

  • Drive sales and KPI’s across the store through mentoring, coaching, and developing a team of 15-20.
  • Having a strong retail floor presence, educating and influencing the store, as well as ensuring back-of-house activities enable the store’s successful commercial execution.
  • Maintaining commerciality within the store.
  • Analyse sales reports and bestsellers.
  • Ensuring excellent service is delivered and handle all customer queries and complaints.

Skills and experience required for this Duty Manager job:

  • 2-3+ years of duty or senior assistant store management experience in grocery, non-food, or high-volume fashion retail.
  • Experience leading teams of 15+ and turnovers of 2+ million is essential.
  • Passion for driving sales and KPI’s.
  • Ability to manage and develop large teams and conduct appraisals and monthly reviews.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including weekdays, evenings and weekends.

The Supervising Pharmacist will do:

Responsible for the day to day running for the dispensary in the pharmacy.

Responsible for receiving, recording and assembling of prescriptions.

Advising, recommending customers of OTC medicines

Giving professional advice on prescriptions

What is needed from the successful the candidate:

Minimum 3 years registered with the PSI
