Employers: Psychometrics

Another invaluable tool in the recruitment process, Excel Recruitment has an extensive portfolio of psychometric testing, temperament profile analysis products and benchmarking tools. We utilise the most up to date technology to reduce administration, all our products can be administered via the web. These reports can be used for recruitment and selection, team building and for revitalising current employees.

A person's behaviour is a necessary and integral part of who they are. In other words, much of our behaviour comes from "nature" (inherent), and much comes from "nurture" (our upbringing). Our products examine how we act or our observable human behaviour, this is useful in the recruitment process.

Our psychometrics examines four dimensions of people's behaviour, these being:

  • How you respond to problems and challenges
  • How you influence others to your point of view
  • How you respond to the pace of the environment
  • How you respond to rules and procedures set by others

What the reports will give you:

  • An understanding of the basic natural behaviour that will be brought to the job
  • If working alone this will identify how you would choose to do the job
  • It will give an insight in to the specific talents that will be brought to a job
  • Communication tips for dealing with the person - Do's and Don'ts
  • It will provide you with knowledge of self perception and other peoples perception under certain conditions
  • Descriptors on how you solve problems meet challenges, influence people, and respond to the pace of the environment and how you would respond to rule and procedures set by others
  • A break down of your natural and adapted style when dealing with challenges, people, procedures and what pace you work at areas for improvement
  • An action plan to develop three main areas for improvement

  5. Interviewing insights - General & Sales
These are nine and ten page reports. Many job applicants today are skilled at masking and adapting their behaviour to get the job, they can "talk the talk". This report allows you to look at the real behaviour of the applicant and allows you to select those whose behaviour most matches the demands of the job. It also provides you with a list of possible questions to ask the applicant.
  6. Time P.L.U.S
This is an eighteen page report which identifies time wasters that impact individual productivity and offers possible solutions for correcting and eliminating specific time wasters. It allows individuals the opportunity to develop a powerful new approach to organising and managing their time.
  7. Work environment
Every job that requires human effort has a work environment. The work environment can be described in terms of behaviour. Simply put "If the job could talk, what behavioural characteristics would it ask for?" When you match the behavioural style of the person to the job, the person will be better able to perform the job requirements. If the behaviour of the person does not match the job, there will be tension between the job and the person's natural behaviour, which may effect longevity and work performance.

This report provides you with the information on the intensity of each of the four factors of the behavioural analysis. If you find a statement that does not apply to the job, delete it. Compare this report with the job description and utilise it to understand and maximise the effectiveness of the person in the specific job. This is benchmarking the job.
