Connect with Excel Recruitment
Posted on Oct 26, 2012
Excel recruitment has spent the last 7 months restricting its online presence so that you, the job seeker, the retail employer or the retailer, connect better with Ireland’s leading specialist in retail recruitment. We have put extra force into our online drive so that you can find the latest retail jobs easily as well as quick access to retail news straight from a leading authority- our expert consultants. We have also made it a priority to interact with our prized clients and candidates online so feel free to drop us a line on any of our social media profiles.
Blog
If you’re reading this, you are already aware of our blog. As a busy, bustling recruitment office we get hundreds of valid questions every day from candidates about how they can improve their job prospects. We thought it was a great idea to set up a blog on our website to help people answer these questions when they might not necessarily be brave enough to ask them. Over the past few months we have dealt with a number of issues including how to write an impacting CV, what to wear to an interview and how to tackle the most nerve wrecking questions. As well as our blog we have a news section in which we deliver to you, the news we have come across through our constant connection with the forerunners in the retail industry. Another information source on website is MD, Barry Whelan’s HR advice column from ShelfLife Magazine which we place on our website. There is no end to the information and advice Barry has to offer in relation to retail and recruitment.
We have been on Facebook for sometime but this year we have been LOVING it. We have started posting jobs more frequently and have given you an insight into what goes on in Excel HQ on more than one occasion. We’ve also been engaging in thrilling discussions about topical events in the retail industry and engaging regularly with clients and business partners. We’ve ran two successful competitions so far; one to win a round of cocktails in Dublin’s trendiest bar, 4 Dame Lane, and a bumper giveaway of a number of Tickets to the Belsonic festival courtesy of MCD. Don’t be afraid to send us a query via facebook if you are looking for advice or, indeed, a new job. Our marketing manager, Claire, would be delighted to help.
We are all about twitter, we firmly believe that it is the way forward when it comes to job seeking and recruitment. We post our hottest jobs everyday and don’t be surprised if you see a random tweet in there on the odd day.
Google Plus
Although we have been on Google plus for some time, we were guilty of setting it up with good intentions and admittedly, they weren’t met. We are back with a bang on Google’s social media platform; sharing urgent job and interesting blog posts.
All of us at Excel are on Linkedin; and you can join our group as well if you are working in the retail industry, whether or not you are looking for work. It is a great place to network with fellow retailers and retail employees.
We have just joined Pinterest and we find that it is a great way to tell the retail recruitment story- through pictures. We also have a few inspirational job seeking quotes and it is a great way to interact with us in the office- we tend to give you a sneak peak of what we’re talking about on our lunch break!
Social media is a great way to keep up to date and keep in touch, so why not follow us?!
